Title: You Better Not Cry: Stories for Christmas
Author: Augusten Burroughs
Summary: In this memoir, Burroughs recalls many Christmas memories that will make readers laugh and cry.
I’m a really big Augusten Burroughs fan, so I knew that I had to read this. (So excited that I finally got a copy from my library!) This book was fun, but didn’t make it to my list of favourites from this author. I felt this read was really short, but it was something nice to just sit and read in one go. The stories made me laugh and tear up a bit, something I definitely always enjoy.
Title: Passages: Handfasting (A Pagan Guide to Commitment Rituals)
Author: Rev. Dr. Kendra Vaughan Hovey
Series Editor: Arin Murphy-Hiscock
Summary: In this guide, Hovey helps the reader plan their perfect handfasting.
This book was really helpful to me. I found it quite interesting and in-depth. I liked the chapters that physically outlined the ceremony completely. I’m currently planning a handfasting for myself and my partner and this book really gave me the confidence to do it myself, since I’ve only ever planned weddings before.
After reading this, I have the drive to make my ceremony the best thing anyone has ever been to and I cannot wait to make this happen.

Series: House of Night
Summary: It reads like the battle is completely over, but really… It’s barely even begun.
It’s getting harder and harder for these books to keep my attention. I’m getting really bored with the storyline and keep feeling like I’m being dragged on a bad road trip. I’m glad that I have this break in between books now that I’m all caught up because I definitely need it. Now that I’ve read this far, I’m not as excited for the release of the next book.
At this point, I’m just reading so I can finish what I’ve started which kind of breaks my heart. Hopefully something will change with the next books to make me like this series once again.

Series: The House of Night
Summary: Kalona has manifested himself and Neferet has decided she is his queen and she’s transforming into Queen Tsi Sigili.
These books are getting harder and harder for me to read. The relationship drama is clouding the battle of the supernatural and it’s annoying me a lot! The whole love triangle with Zoey, Erik, and Heath still going on is probably what makes me the angriest.
My favourite parts of this part in the series have to be the dealings with the nuns. I love Sister Mary Angela. Grandma Redbird is also still lovely. If I wasn’t addicted, I don’t know if I would be keeping up with these books. The next one is in for me at the library, so I hope I get to read it soon!
